Possibly the most complicated spot we've ever produced, the spot rolls along to a majestic conclusion with no signs of the complexity behind it. We shot almost the entire spot 'day for night' effecting the daytime footage into magical Christmas evening as a family heads to Biltmore.

HGTV Dream Home
For the fourth year in a row, Bonesteel Films has produced broadcast and web content for the Building of HGTV Dream Home. From the foundation to final landscaping Bonesteel Films produced segments ranging from radiant floor heating to Contemporary Adobe design.
This years location in New Mexico featured unique challenges for the crew; including rattlesnakes and tarantulas...

Smooth Air
Shooting new aerials for Biltmore allowed us to use the latest technology for camera stabilization, the Cineflex HD system. Dodging weather and getting the shots required close collaboration with the folks at Biltmore and the helicopter crew, all coordinated by Bonesteel Films' producer Matthew Gellert. In the air was director Paul Bonesteel and Biltmore staff producer Robin Turner Oswald, pilot Rudy Ribbeck and camera operator Frank Ryde.

Chicago/Galesburg Trip
Paul, Neeley and Evan made one more trip though Chicago and out to Galesburg, Il to the birthplace of Carl Sandburg to shoot some recreation footage for the Sandburg documentary. We used local Galesburg-ian actors to play the roles of Carl as a 12 year old, Carl in his mid-twenties, Carl's traveling salesman partner, George Dickenson and the farm wife they sell Stereoscopic viewers to.
Aside from shooting at the birthplace, we also shot in the beautiful Orpheum theatre in downtown Galesburg, some of the many corn fields in the area and along dusty, dirt roads.
Many thanks go out to the folks at the birthplace for once again letting us invade their space, our actors and our tireless PA Keegan.

Bigger, Better, Faster, More!
If the term "Over 300MB/sec with 6TB of storage." doesn't get you as excited as it does for us, let us break it down for you.
We just received delivery of our new storage solution and now have the ability to do multiple streams of full-res uncompressed HD. Also, because it's a RAID, all of the data is protected. If a drive fails, the data is automatically rebuilt and the work can continue.

Biltmore New Rooms Campaign
Recently, we produced a new series of spots for Biltmore, advertising the grand opening of their new suite of rooms. The process of re-doing the rooms was a three year project for Biltmore, and Bonesteel Films was there to capture all of the different stages. Shot completely in HD, the commercial combines before and after images to showcase the amazing restoration process.
Digital effects were created in house, adding the lens flares and shafts of light emanating from the rooms which created the dramatic mood intended.

Biltmore Festival of Flowers 2009
It was a busy 2 days over at Biltmore shooting footage for Festival of Flowers 2009. We always try to stay a year ahead so we are able to launch the commercial right as the flowers are coming up. This years production included a 30' jib arm that was flown above the gardens, giving us a unique birds eye view of the patterns of flowers. All the footage was captured in pristine HD with the Zeiss Digi Prime lens system, giving us stunning optical and image quality.
